Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

At First Presbyterian, Copperas Cove, we invite people to join us as we endeavor to be God’s people in the world. We welcome everyone. And we are so glad that you are considering being our guest. In order to make your visit as comfortable as possible, we’ve outlined here a few bits of information which might help.

IN GENERAL

  • First, you can expect to be welcomed with warm smiles, generous hospitality, and the spirit of God’s love and grace because THAT's what we do best. For its 60 years, FPC-CC always has.

  • If you are coming to worship, just find a spot anywhere to sit in our Sanctuary. The service begins at 11am. If you are coming for Sunday School, know that there is a class for every agae. They are held in the Education wing and begin at 9:45am.

    • Nursery—-Estrellita Hughes, caregiver

    • Pre-K-3rd Grade—Sammi Quiles, Pam Azueh, teachers; Holy Moly curriculum

    • 4th - 6th grade-Grace Hoy, Daniel Osong, teachers; Connect curriculum

    • 7th - 12th grade—Naomi Ingrim, Becky Hunter, teachers; Echo curriculum

    • Adult—Mike Ingrim, teacher; class directed scriptural study

  • Our worship service is a blended type with traditional hymns played on our beautiful organ but also more contemporary songs offered as well. You will enjoy our adult and children’s choirs and also at least monthly contributions from our “Cameroonian Chorus”.

  • Following every service, we gather in the Fellowship Hall for a time of refreshments and socializing. But on the 3rd Sunday of the month, we have an all church luncheon, often a potluck. You are welcome to join in. So fun.

  • We celebrate unity in diversity.

  • We encourage families to worship together and welcome fidgety children. An opportunity for children 7 years and under to go to “Children’s Chapel” is provided during the service, if desired. This follows the Pastor’s Time with Young Disciples.

  • Every August our church dismisses Sunday School, giving our teachers a much deserved reprieve, and uses then the time to accomplish all-church, hands on Mission projects such as making sandwiches for the homeless or hygiene kits for disaster victims.

  • Our operating budget gives approximately 8-10% of our collected offerings directly to local and global missions.

PARKING

We have only one parking lot on our property, We have many handicapped spots with ramps and signage to assist. Once inside the main entrance, there will be “Greeters” to welcome and guide you further.
